Marketing Master Plan Workshop

Travel Agent Haven | Marketing 101 for Travel Agents

Who This Is For

Travel agents at any stage who are stuck on the same pain point:

  • "I'm not a good salesperson"
  • "I don't really love social media"
  • "I don't understand how marketing works"
  • "How am I supposed to get my name out there?"

Whether you're brand new or have been at this for a while without landing clients or earning meaningful commission income — this workshop was built for you.

Why Travel Agent Marketing Is Different

Most marketing education online is designed for people selling courses, digital products, or high-ticket coaching services. That's not what travel agents do.

Travel advising is technically a form of high-ticket affiliate marketing — but the niche, the client avatar, and the platforms you use will look completely different from agent to agent:

  • A 20-something marketing gap years and Southeast Asia travel → very different approach
  • A 50-something mom marketing Disney and family cruises → completely different platforms, tone, and content

There is no one-size-fits-all marketing plan. The presenter personally mentors 180+ travel agents, every one with a different niche, different avatar, and different platform mix.

The Two Levels of Marketing Strategy

Level 1 — Your Marketing Master Plan Who are you in this space? Who are you talking to? This is your overall brand and positioning foundation.

Level 2 — Platform Execution Which platforms will you use? Which features within those platforms? How do you actually use them?

Example using Instagram alone: Reels, Lives, carousel posts, single photo posts, the reminder feature for upcoming events — each serves a different purpose depending on what you're selling and who you're talking to.

Where You Are Right Now

You're likely in one of two stages:

Stage 1 — Laying the brand foundation Figuring out your niche, your avatar, your voice. Important — but don't let it paralyze you.

Stage 2 — Executing a marketing plan This is what the workshop focuses on. Getting moving matters more than getting it perfect.

Key mindset point: Don't wait until your brand is fully mapped out. Pick a starter niche and start. Experience is the greatest teacher. The sooner you start creating content and talking to people, the sooner clients and commissions follow.

The Belief Stack — What's Actually Holding You Back

Before skills or strategy, most agents are dealing with one or more of these:

  • Belief in the business model — Does being a travel agent actually work?
  • Belief in your tools and host agency — Do I have what I need?
  • Belief in your mentor/systems — Do I even know what I have access to?
  • Self-belief — Do I have what it takes?

If the answer to any of these is no right now, that's normal — and it's addressable. Skills develop over time, but you have to start. The pancake theory applies: you have to do the thing poorly about a hundred times before you get good at it. Starting later just means it takes longer to get there.

What the Workshop Covers

A focused 90-minute (up to 2 hours with Q&A) marketing 101 session with designated action time built in. By the end you will:

  • Understand the marketing terminology you keep hearing
  • Know whether you're going online or offline
  • Know whether you're starting with long-form or short-form content (and what that means)
  • Have made all your key platform decisions quickly
  • Have taken your first executable steps — not just planned them
  • Know exactly what your gap is: mindset, skillset, or time

After the Workshop — Identifying Your Gap

Once you've taken those first steps, you'll know which of these applies:

  • Mindset gap — You need more evidence that this works for real people → the community helps here
  • Skillset gap — You need platform-specific training (Instagram course, YouTube course, etc.) → resources available
  • Time gap — You just need to practice and iterate → that's progress, not a problem
